RAYMORE ENTERTAINMENT FUND.

Our Community is filled with a lot of big hearted people.  After a tornado struck the Raymore area on Friday, July 2, 2010, a group of people from the area got together and organized a fundraising cabaret at the Raymore Sports Grounds in mid August to raise money for 4 farm families devastated by the tornado.  That year with the help of many generous donations from so many local and area businesses (Degelman Industries donated a $25,000 Degelman Stone Picker)who donated  towards a live auction event which along with the well attended weekend cabaret raised over $100,000!!, Which was split between the 4 families.

The following year in 2011 we as a group again planned a weekend cabaret in August which had a few local bands play at along with THE VERN MICHAELS BAND.

That winter the 11 of people formed the Raymore Entertainment Fund Committee consisting of: Albert Bamford, Jordann Casler , Ken, Shelia and Chloe Degelman, Mitch Fazakas, Amanda Kihn, Darcy Koncz, Aaron Millar, Derek and Purdue decided we should kick it up a notch and do something the Town of Raymore has never seen before.  So we brought Classic Rock Band TROOPER to town on August long weekend, 2012 along with a weekend slow pitch tournament, beach volleyball, free camping on site, beer gardens and loads of entertainment.

After the huge success of 2012 we decided to keep moving forward at which time Jordann Casler left our committee and we picked up Tanner Schachtel.  August long weekend, 2013 saw Country Music Superstar SAMMY KERSHAW perform on Saturday night and then Classic Rock Band HARLEQUIN closed the show Sunday night and back by popular demand every year THE VERN MICHAELS BAND  as well as MAGNUM!  Along with the shows the slow pitch tournament, beach volleyball, dunk tank, onsite camping everything continues to keep growing and becoming a staple in our community.

2013 is looking like it’s going to be another incredible year with

DERIC RUTTAN, APRIL WINE, VERN MICHAELS AND MAGNUM
